This is a feature and bugfix release which has been tested on the
following platforms:

    Linux FC            [x86]
    Darwin 8.7.1        [ppc/x86]

This release introduce among others the following
new features:

* Using new versions of auto-tools so shared library extension is set  
correct
* Simplified and removed section 4 of the license exception
* Include bootstrap script for recreating configure

Ps. Support for Postgres is in the pipeline
